Friends of Blackburn Classics

This is an informal group of anyone willing to offer ideas and practical help in support of the concerts. There is no personal financial commitment – just some time and perhaps a bit of travelling. Friends have:

Come together as a discussion group to help us develop the programme and take up
Taken posters around their local shops and outlets
Spread the word about the Blackburn Classics by sending on emails and promotional information to anyone they think might be interested
Put us in contact with potential sponsors
Volunteered on the concert nights to help the staff out

Future development of the group:

We are conscious that as King George's Hall is managed by a Council there are many grants not open to us. A more formal Friends Group may be able to secure additional funding to help expand and improve the Blackburn concerts. Please let us know your thoughts.
