M6 and M61 to M65 J3
How to find King George's Hall from M6 & M61 To M65 J3, Manchester, Wigan, Chorley, Warrington and Liverpool
To Waves Swimming Centre/Feilden Street/, Barton Street and Blackburn College Car Parks
Following the signs from the Motorway to 'Chorley', you must follow the 'A674' (Chorley) all the way into 'Blackburn' and onto 'King Street', follow straight along 'King Street', turning left at a set of traffic lights leading onto 'Montague Street'. Take your first right off 'Montague Street' onto 'Feilden Street', travel on up 'Feilden Street' (The 'Feilden Street Building' of 'Blackburn college' is on your left) after the 'Feilden Street Building' you will see two car parks to your left, you may use either of these Pay and Display Car Park's during your stay (These are the 'Waves' car park and the 'Feilden street' car parks respectively).
On exiting your vehicle, head towards the red bricked college building next to the swimming centre (which is the pink brick coloured building). The red bricked building is called the 'Victoria Building'(of 'Blackburn College') turn right at the 'Victoria Building' and 'King George's Hall' is visible and about a 200-250 yard walk ahead from there.
Alternatively for the 'Barton Street' Car Park, carry on along 'King
Street' PAST 'Montgue Street' traffic lights and turn left onto 'Barton
Street', go straight on staying in your right hand lane (you will pass
the 'Malt & Hops Pub') the 'Barton Street' pay and display car park
is on your right hand side, on exiting your vehicle, turn right at the
exit of the car park and walk straight on turning right at the nearby
Zebra Crossing, 'King George's Hall' will be visible to your right and
on the left hand side of the road.
To use Blackburn College's Main Car Park, carry on along 'King Street' and then left at the traffic lights onto 'Montague Street'. Carry on up 'Montague Street' and take your second right onto 'St Paul's Road' (opposite 'The Park Pub'). Carry on down 'St Paul's Road' and turn left onto 'Alma Street' (not signposted at this side of the road) instead of veering right.
There are pay and display car parks on the left or the right hand side of 'Alma Street'. On exiting your vehicle return onto 'Alma Street' and walk to the bottom (back towards 'St Paul's Road') at the bottom of 'Alma Street' across the road you will see 'The Courts Centre' (College building) turn left onto 'Blakey Moor Street' (not signposted on this street) and walk past the 'Blakey Moor Building' following the path on this side round the corner (left) until you reach the 'King George's Hall' main entrance (on your left).
