How to find King George's Hall from M65 J4, Darwen, Bolton & Manchester
To Waves Swimming Centre/Feilden Street/, Barton Street and Blackburn College Car Parks
On exiting 'Junction 4' follow the signs for Blackburn. Follow the main road ('Bolton Road') through 'Ewood' past the football stadium (on your right hand side). At the next set of traffic lights stay in your right hand lane(veering left) then at the next set turn right (you will now be opposite the 'Fox & Hounds Pub') get in your middle lane following the road signs for 'Town Centre' At the next set of traffic lights (the 'Aqueduct Pub' will be on your right hand side a few yards up) head straight on past the 'Aqueduct pub' that will be on your right and follow this road all the way into the 'Town Centre'.
Once you pass under 'Blackburn Bridge' (Blue and Yellow painted) you will head straight on (which is 'Mincing Lane'). Follow the one way traffic straight on past a 'Zebra Crossing' and a 'Kwik Fit Garage' (on your left) and stop at the next set of traffic lights ('Bar Ibiza' will be on your left, and 'The Chippery' chip shop will be ahead). Veer left just before 'The Chippery Fish & Chip shop' and head straight on following to your left and onto a side street (behind the 'Malt and Hops Pub'). At the end of this street, directly opposite are the Waves Swimming Centre/Feilden Street Car Parks.
On exiting your vehicle, head towards the red bricked college building next to the swimming centre (which is the pink brick coloured building). The red bricked building is called the 'Victoria Building'(of 'Blackburn College') turn right at the 'Victoria Building' and 'King George's Hall' is visible and about a 200-250 yard walk ahead from there.
For the 'Barton Street' Car Park follow the above directions until you come upon 'The Chippery Fish & Chip shop' then veer left just before 'chip shop' shop and follow the road down and turn right onto 'Barton Street' (the 'Malt & Hops' pub will be on your left hand side) and the 'Barton Street' pay and display car park will be a few yards down on your right hand side. On exiting your vehicle, turn right at the exit of the car park and walk straight on turning right at the nearby Zebra Crossing, 'King George's Hall' will be visible to your right and on the left hand side of the road.
Alternatively for the 'Blackburn College Main Car Park' follow the above instructions onto 'Barton Street' (the 'Malt & Hops' pub will be on your left hand side). Staying in your left hand lane you will pass 'Waves Swimming Centre' (on your left) and past a 'Zebra Crossing' along onto 'Blakey Moor Street (not signposted). When you come to a veer in the road do not follow it to the left, instead turn right onto 'Alma Street' (not signposted, however 'Alma Street' is opposite 'The Courts Centre').
Continue up 'Alma Street' and there are pay and display car parks on either your left or your right. On exiting your vehicle return onto 'Alma Street' and walk to the bottom (towards 'St Paul's Road') at the bottom of 'Alma Street' across the road you will see 'The Courts Centre' (College building) turn left onto 'Blakey Moor Street' (not signposted on this street) and walk past the 'Blakey Moor Building' following the path on this side round the corner (left) until you reach the 'King George's Hall' main entrance (on your left).
