Paddy McGuinness 13 Nov 08

Paddy was ere!!!  Well, he was here on Thursday night as part of the Comedy Festival and what a reception he got.  1400 people went wild for him for all of his 75 minute set.  Were you there?  What did you think?

I really enjoyed it Was so funny but seemed to finish quite early I would defintitely go and see him again tho

paddy was absolutely brilliant, he always is. But what spoiled it was the noisy groups of student males sat all around us, clinking their bottles and moving about. Therfore paddy could only be heard and not seen!

Very very very funny! He has made my year!!

Laughed from start to finish. Funny and fit - what more can you ask for in a man!!!

very good, getting him to come to Blackburn was a major coup. Not as funny as his Blackpool comedy dvd but still a good night….

paddy was brilliant much better than expected everyone was in stitches the warm up act was quite funny to love to see him again

Yes, i was there and on the front row with 3 of my friends, if it wasn’t for the view i wouldn’t really have rated him all that much and it was called Paddy and you, but he didn’t interact that much with the audience at all. The lad on first was as good as Paddy. (sorry Paddy). We did have a few laughs and my pregnant friend recieved a Greggs bag but i’m afraid he needs more practice to keep up with his mate Peter..

Very weak opening with a very old joke that didn’t get much above that level through the performance, although the ’sample’ routine was gigggle worthy. Shame about the few hecklers that took the edge off.

What a fantastic night!!!!. Not only was Paddy at his best, his warm up act was also hilarious. Paddy’s set was all brand new and the 75 minutes flew by. We had an excellent night out and laughed every minute.

Sooooo funny brilliant laughed from start to end and his warm up act was good to. Highlight for me was his retaliation at the hecklers had me in stitches. Would definately go see him again.

Excellent show from start to finish. The warm up act (Andy Watson), was hilarious, and I could have listened to more from him. Paddy was just as funny, although I did expect it to be a bit longer than what it was. The hecklers were side splitting, as both comedians just fired back at them with some pretty spectacular put downs. The only downside were the King Georges Hall staff that congregated near the back, and chatted to each other throughout the show, and the seats were just too darn close together. Would definately go and see Paddy again tho.

Thought he was weak and not overly funny. His routine seemed more like a Greggs advert and maybe he should stick to adverts because stand up is not his strong point.

What a great night indeed!! Seen paddy on DVD, but he was wven better live - he’s georgous too!! Agree about the hecklers but paddy and the warm up act handled them great. Cant wait to see him again on the next tour.

We thought paddy was great.we saw paddy at king Georges Hall two years ago and he was just as good on thursday night .We would book again if he comes back.Nice One Paddy.

Paddy was brilliant and me & my friend also loved his warm up act! We could have have done with an extra 30 mins tho, it was over too quickly!! Would also have liked to meet him after for an autograph!!

Was really looking forward to seeing Paddy but apart from a few good gags here and there he failed me miserably. A lot of the audience seemed to enjoy themselves but that could’ve been the beer!!! Think I’ll stick to watching him on tv, when he usually has me in stitches, and reaching for the ‘tena ladys’. Sorry Paddy! But he did look fit.

What an excellent evening. I’m a HUGE Paddy fan and I think he is wonderful! So funny and entertaining. I have recommended all my friends to go and see him. I would love to see him on stage again - well done Paddy… you’re my hero!! xx

Was a brilliant night, warm up act (Andy Watson) was great and Paddy was fantastic, first time watching him live. The only problem was the seats were far too close together, causing you to feel a bit uncomfortable throughout. But overall definately recommended, and would definately watch him again

On Thursday 13th we were delighted to see Paddy’s support act ‘Andy Watson’ who was a great way to start the show! (he professionally dealt with hecklers!!)
Paddy himself was also a pleasure to watch & made my day when he sat with me at the end of the show to sign my programme & for a photo!
(Thanks to KGH staff ‘Geoff, Chris & Margaret’ for making it possible!)
See You all again soon XXX

Really enjoyed it, Paddy and warm up act were both very funny and I found the material fairly orginal. Have to agree with other comments though that it was rather shorter than expected, I was anticipating about two hours in line with other comedy acts.Would go to see Paddy again, but probably not to King Georges, seats were too close, very uncomfortable and had to keep leaning from side to side to see past the very tall man in front!

Oh….not forgetting ALL of the other members of Staff at KGH who do a fantastic job & who are very Helpful & Friendly to me as I’m a wheelchair user!! X

Was sat in perfect position to watch Paddy!! He is a true Bolton lad and he was amazing………..good on him for getting the Greggs pi**takes out the way before anyone had chance to shout them from the crowd!!

Loved, loved, loved him!! ;o)

andy watson was good had us laughing straight away paddy was good as well and agree with others didnt seem to be on long enough( only problem was the few women sat next to us never stopped talking to one another)

he was great laughed from start to finish couldnt see much off him because someones head was in the way but it was a good show. andy watson was hilarious aswell would love to see them both again. this one was better then his other show on dvd mostly because he took the mick out of the audience but stil good material,

Had a fantastic night, Paddy great as always, the time did seem to go to quick tho.

Paddy and andy were both brill but as for king georges…. seats too close together and it was too hot! Need some air con or need to turn the heating down!!
