really glad i didn’t miss midge ure.
one man acoustic performance,it was just brilliant.not a sell out so the seating was set out differantly(cabaret stiyle) which made it more personnal.
as usual midge did all the favourite songs, and as usual put his heart and soul into every song.the guys voice is still as powerful as back in the ultravox days.
if you missed it that’s your loss.

After seeing the mighty Ultravox on both 2009 & 2010 legs of their Return To Eden reunion tour (before that was 1984 at the Manchester Apollo - the venue to which they returned, it was good to catch Midge performing the classics, If I Was, Vienna, Lies, Breathe, Hymn - the impressive list goes on - as well as a captive performance of Fade To Grey..it’s obvious he gets even better (if that’s at all possible) over time - truly excellent!!!!

fantasic performance. loved the way the venue was set out. Very disappointed for Midge that he didnt sell as many tickets as anticipated. However, I felt the feel of the evening very personal and intimate. Pleased that he sang my own fav song Hymn. His voice was as powerful as it was in the 80s and I enjoyed some of his new stuff.

Another Fantastic set from Midge. The turnout could have been better but the atmoshere was great.Pleased to hear my favourite,The Leaving(So Long). The guy can still belt out
the songs as good as he used to do-unlike some of the other artists from the same era.A great night-hope to see him back soon!

First time for a Midge solo show (seen Ultravox many, many times over the years and always been a big fan right back to the early John Foxx days.)
Absolutely blown away - and that takes some doing for an old cynic like me.
Great civilised venue - front row centre stage seats - for a totally engrossing virtuoso peformance.
Thought it would be just another nostalgia evening like the Ultravox tour - which was still great btw - but it was much, much more.
Loved some of the newer material - including the ‘I survived’ track - very heartfelt and appropriate - can’t wait to get my hands on a studio quality copy of that.
Really looking forward to the next time Midge comes round - and ordered 2 cd’s off the web to keep me going until then.
