Fresh from her critically acclaimed Edinburgh comeback, FRANCESCA MARTINEZ makes her debut visit to King George's Hall with a brand new show IN DEEP. Following sell-out performances on Broadway, New York, a starring role along side Kate Winslet in Ricky Gervais’ award –winning show ‘Extras’ and not forgetting her much-loved appearance on ‘The Frank Skinner Show’, Francesca is about to embark on a national tour.

After a whirlwind few years showcasing her talents everywhere from Trafalgar Square to Dublin Castle and with regular Channel 4 and BBC TV and radio appearances to boot, Francesca hit burn out and was forced to sleep. Deeply. Having so much time on her hands, she began to think. Deeply. With no energy left (apart from that required to watch the complete box set of ‘24’ on DVD) she began to appreciate just what a brilliant and underrated thing energy is and what a privilege it is to do stand up. So when her energy returned and the ‘24’ box set wore out, Francesca wrote a show full of everything in this world that she is most passionate about. And this is it.  Francesca jumps ‘in deep’ and talks about confidence, self-image, designer babies, politics, religion, media, happiness and just what she ended up realising after all that time alone with herself.

This is chit-chat-free comedy for the heart and the head from the woman The Daily Mail dubs the 'perfect stand-up'. Francesca addresses the world as she sees it, turning her impish, razor sharp wit on the personal and the political. Francesca is the first disabled performer in the UK to have become one of the top comedians of her generation. Catch her in her most universal, challenging and funny show yet.
