Justin Moorhouse

you must be joking comedy festival

Aswell as starring in two series of the award winning ‘Phoenix Nights’, Justin has made numerous TV appearances including ‘8 out of 10 Cats’,  ‘Shameless’ (Ch4) ‘The Grumpy Guides’ (BBC 2), ‘The World Stands-Up’ and ‘The Comedy Store’ (Paramount).  He’s supported Jimmy Carr and Peter Kay and earned a nomination for ‘Best Comedy Performance’ at the prestigious Manchester Evening News Theatre Awards.  Following last year’s Edinburgh debut, he toured the UK to sell-out audiences and critical acclaim and had a show commissioned by Radio Four. His daily radio show on Manchester’s Key 103 has been nominated for two Sony Awards and he’s just completed filming on Ken Loach’s new film so is all set to hit the big screen in the Autumn.  Catch him while can!

In his brand new show for 2008, Justin is on a mission to discover his five true friends.  In the age of Facebook, Myspace and Bebo, he’s decided he doesn’t want any new friends.  He’s got enough.  In fact, he needs to drop a few.  His nana once said you are truly blessed if you can count your friends on the fingers of one hand.  She also said cats were magic and that Ken Dodd was her ex-boyfriend but that was when she was a bit older.  So join Justin as he explores his address book and begins to purge.  Who goes, who stays…he decides.
