Hallé Youth Concert

This Hallé for Youth concert will explore the theme of Conflict and Resolution. Tom Redmond will guide us through a range of orchestral music which will help support pupils’ understanding of why conflicts happen and how they are resolved. As well as thinking about both World Wars and other conflicts, there will be the opportunity to consider the 200th anniversary of The Peterloo Massacre which occurred at St Peter’s Field in Manchester in 1819.

Special features of this year’s Hallé for Youth concerts include:
• An opportunity to explore orchestral music related to world conflicts.
• An introduction to instruments of the orchestra as demonstrated by the Hallé.
• An opportunity to join in with Steve Pickett’s First World War Song Medley. A copy of the medley may be downloaded from the Hallé’s website once you have booked and paid for your tickets
